β¦ Synopsis
The catalytic coupling of formaldehyde FA and methyl formate MF over 12-tungstosilicic acid and its salts has been Ε½ . investigated. H SiW O and its acidic salts were active in the coupling of FA and MF to methyl glycolate MG and 4 1 2 4 0 Ε½ . methyl methoxy acetate MMAc . Among the acidic salts, LiH SiW and Mg H SiW showed much higher activities. 3 1 2 0 . 5 3 1 2
