Sponsored jointly by the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and the Iristitut de Biologie I'hysico-Chimique (Fondation Edmond de Rothschild) , Paris, the symposium will be held under the auspices of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Jerusalem, Israel, from April 5 to 9, 1971.
The aim of this meeting will be the discussion of the present status of our knowledge about the chemistry, physical-chemistry, and biochemistry of these fundamental biological compounds. A particular emphasis will be laid on quantum-mechanical calculations in relation to experimental data obt,ained with modern techniques. The collaboration of both theoreticians arid experimentalists is therefore welcome at this Symposium.
