Optical absorption, luminescence and decay profiles of Dy 3+ -doped alkaline earth titanium phosphate glasses were studied. The absorption transitions in the UV-VIS-NIR regions were assigned to different transitions from the 6 H 15/2 ground state to various excited states. The measured energy levels
