✦ Synopsis

The (2,5) band ofthe A *I&,-X 'C: electronic transition of N$ has been recorded in the infrared region near 2150 cm-' using a tunable diode laser velocity modulation spectrometer. Standard expressions were fitted by least squares to the rotational fine structure. Equilibtium vibrational constants up to thii order have been determined.
