✦ Synopsis
The triplet system 2 )II,+x '2" of the Cg molecule around 710 nm was investigated using laser-induced fluorescence and resonant two-photon ionization in a collimated supersonic cold argon beam seeded with cesium. The analysis ofthe spectra yields the fine-structure splittings and the vibrational spacings of the 'II, state and the vibrational spacings of the x 'C, state. A comparison with pseudo-potential calculations is presented.

We report the observation of a band system between 510 and 540 nm in laser induced fluorescence spectra of Cs2 excited by the Ar + laser lines Aexc = 488 nm, Aexc = 496.5 nm and A~xc = 501.7 nm. Using potential energy curves of Cs2 and performing quantum mechanical simulations of the spectra we assi
Polarization labelling spectroscopy is applied to study excited states of K2 lying in the energy range 23800-25800 cm-' above the bottom of the ground state. The two observed states are identified as 3 'l&(4 'S+S 'P) and 3 '&/ (4 \*S+ 3 'D). Molecular constants are derived for both states from a Dun
