✦ Synopsis
In the title compound, hexaaquanickel(II) dinitrate–bis(pyrimidin-2-ylsulfanyl)methane (1/2), Ni(H~2~O)~6~~2~·2C~9~H~8~N~4~S~2~, the Ni^II^ ion, located on an inversion center, has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The Ni^II^ complex cation, nitrate anions and the bis(pyrimidin-2-ylsulfanyl)methane molecules are linked together by hydrogen-bonding interactions.
