โฆ Synopsis
processing of data, which produces depression'. Unfortunately, the hard scientiยฎc data which is essential to back up such a hypothesis is lacking and the references cited are too few to enable the reader to independently validate the concepts presented. I found statements like OCD develops in response to bilaterally increased, orbital frontal and insular cortex assessment of socially conditioned data, especially to the right hemispheres episodic source memory' incomprehensibly dense and most unsatisfactory as I could not locate any references that convincingly substantiate the authors claims.
Of course, it is always possible that this is an outstandingly clever text that is completely comprehensible to any literate neuroscientistis. If so, I dismally failed the intelligence test. As my father used to say, the book is too clever by half' which is a pity as clinical psychopharmacology needs a text that provides the integrated approach suggested by the title. However, the brain may talk to itself, but this to me does not make the talk comprehensible. I am afraid that this is not the text we are looking for.
