Small glider pads of Teflon ptfe-fluorocarbon resin are contributing to passenger comfort on the liner QE2. The pads have been fixed to the runners of 1,300 chairs in the ship's restaurant.

With the ptfe providing an extremely slippery surface, they perform the functions of castors on land-based chairs.
