Summa y
The test statistics u d until now in the CFA have been developed under the sssumption of the overell hypothesis of totml independence. Therefore, the multiple test procedurea bssed on theae stetistics sre reslly only different teats of the oversll hypotheah. If one likm to test a epeciel oell hypothesis, one should only sssume thst this hypothesis is true and not the whole overall hypothesis. Such d l teeta can then be used ss elemente of s multiple teat procedure.
I n this psper i t is ahown thst the ususl test procedurea can be very snticoneervstive (except of the two-dimemionsl, end, for some procedures. the three-dimensionsl am), and corrected test procedures are developed. Furthermore, for the construction of multiple tests controlling the multiple level, modifications of Horn's (1979) procedure sre proposed which lesd to shsrper results then hie genersl procedure and can also be performed very essily.
