## Abstract In this paper, a 1×4 active phased‐array antenna is designed using a voltage‐controlled oscillator (VCO) with a varactor diode and a transmission‐line network. The varactor diode was connected in parallel to the FET for the wide tuning range of the VCO, and the transmission‐line network
