This article is a sketch of the tense, mood and aspect system in Mongolian, mainly based on the tense-mood-aspect questionnaire devised by Γ–sten Dahl. The language described is colloquial standard Mongolian, i.e. Khalkha dialect spoken in Ulaanbaatar, which differs in some respects from written language.
