β¦ Synopsis
Temperature profiles are calculated for lamlnar flow in a slit with clcctrlcal heat generation. The elliptic form of the thermal energy equation is solved using spectral theory for a continuous flow electrophoresis chamber which has an isothermal lower surface. and an adiabatic upper surface. Our results show that a thermal inversion appears in the entrance region of the device when Pe > 14.8. For Pe < 14.8 the inversion is absent and the mod&d device may be sealed O(10) times in the transverse thickness.
