✦ Synopsis

The visible fluorescence of UI--6 excited at 374 nm has been studied in the temperature range 273-313 K. The quenclting rate Imas been found to change with temperature according to the Arrheniu~ equation. Values of the uuimolecular deca.v times are also reported.

Fluorescence intensities and lifetimes of 1, I '-diethyl-2,2'-cyanine chloride( pseudoisocyanine) at I .O x 1 O-\* M in glycerol have been measured in the temperature range 84-298 K. Comparison with previous results shows that the solution consists of dye monomers. Arrhenius plots yield two activat
