One-photon non-photochemical hole burning (NPHB) is shown to be a viable method for producing narrow-line twophoton spectra of molecules in solution at low temperature. The TPE spectrum of phenanthrene at 2 K in a glassy medium is presented and is shown to manifest one-photon NPHB effects.
