✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Experimental results on the temperature dependence of the polarization state of the amplified optical signal between 0°C and 50°C are reported in this paper for an erbium‐doped fiber amplifier. The instabilities of the polarization state decrease with increasing temperature when pumped at 1480 nm. The rates are reported. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
