✦ Synopsis

The purpose of this paper is to study the energy and entropy of a real gas in two-phase equilibrium as functions of the temperature, and to compare the results with those of the ideal gas. The temperature-dependent variation in energy and entropy of the real gas below the critical values of temperature and pressure differs from that of the ideal gas due to mutual particle interaction. The given thermodynamic relations for the energy, entropy, density, vapour pressure and chemical potential can be used to construct the phase diagram along the saturation curve with a high degree of accuracy.
