The validity of probe theories based on the classical electron transport to probes in lowtemperature magnetized plasma of the toroidal device "Blaamann "has been demonstrated. The analysis was carried out for the conditions when global transport of charged particles in the device is anomalous, namel

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A rigorous analysis of the temperature characteristics of a ferrite phase shifter in a grooved waveguide is carried out by using a combination of analytical and numerical methods. The numerical results are found to be in agreement with our measurements. The results obtained provide valuable guidance for the simulation of the property of the device in the high‐power case and for the optimization of the design of the device. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
