✦ Synopsis

Temperature and hmmdity meatmrementa of air in and above a drymg fluidized maw of diea gel are given. It IS proved that perpendicular to the flow of an the temperature and the humid&y show no gradient ; that the temperature of the ahca gel is practically equal to the temperature of the leavmg au, being independent of the place m the apparatus ; that maw and heat transfer takea place in a very small layer only and llnally that heat is transferred to the sohd substance by the aupportmg sievea aa well aa by,the air directly.

Bed humidity is a critical parameter that needs to be controlled in a fluidized bed granulation to ensure reliability. To predict and control the bed humidity during the fluidized bed granulation process, a simple model based on the mass conservation of moisture was developed. The moisture mass bala

A sucroselactose-starch granulation was used to study particulate motion and attrition in a fluid bed dryer. There is some classification of material in the dryer as drying proceeds; fine particles are dried faster and become less dense, and the less dry but denser large particles show some (althoug

## Abstract A drying process in a fluidized bed under vacuum conditions is experimentally and theoretically studied. A fluidized bed operating in reduced pressure presents a possibility for a better quality of production, with safer process conditions. A mathematical model is developed for the redu
