โœฆ Synopsis

RESUME -KURZFASSUNG

The main difficulty in the designing of electrodialyeie apparatue lies in the absence of analytical relationships for the definition of ealine concentration and volume. The analysis of literature and experimental8 permitted to find the connection between saline maximum concentration, electrolyte nature and fixed ion concentration in membrane phase. The value6 of the electroosmotic permeability coefficient are given for the mentioned salts and membranes. The paper lists the results of the experimente on the desalination-concentration of spent regeneration solution from sodium-cationite filters. The experimental etudies showed that electrodialysis apparatus can be widely used in cloeed loop recycle schemes of water desalination at the industrial enterprises.

An analytical method analogous to the Kremser-like procedure used in chemical engineering unit operations has been developed for the design and performance evaluation of co-current and counter-current electrodialysis stacks operated at high concentrations. Membrane area or concentrations and flow r
