✦ Synopsis

More detailed studies of this system have proved that the "extra" 001 reflections discussed with reference to Figs 6 and 7 are due entirely to double diffraction which can occur within a single twin variant of monoclinic ZQ. In addition, quantitative microanalysis from EDS spectra are consistently lower in TEM than STEM modes of operation of our Philips EM400 for all materials being studied. Thus, the data in Fig. 3, for the ZrO, and A&O, contents may be overestimated by a factor of about seven (Al,03) to fifteen (ZrO>). However, the trends showing solid solubilities are correct.
