The data were collected on an Enraf-Nonius CAD-4 diffractometer with w2ff scans over the range 2.4 < 0 <21 .O. Of the 8494 reflections collected. 8042 were unique, and 6192 were observed with Fo >4u(Fo). Data werecorrected for Lorentz and polarization factors (XCAD4) [19] Absorption correction was semiemperical from psi-scans Max./min. transmission = 0.9083!0.2824. The structure was solved by direct methods (XS). Restraints were implemented to refine the two [K([2.2.2]cryptand)lt ions (SAME and DELU). The structure was refined by full-matrix least squares against IF2[ to R = 0.1053,

Red crystals of [H 3 O ´(dibenzo-18-crown-6)][Te 2 Br 9 ] (1) were isolated from a solution of TeBr 4 and dibenzo-18crown-6 in CH 3 CN containing a small amount of hydrobromic acid. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P 1 with the cell dimensions a = 9.010(2), b = 13.403(3), c = 1
