The quasielastic charged-current (CC) tau neutrino(antineutrino)-nucleus scattering is considered. The dependence of tau polarization on nuclear-structure effects is discussed in detail. The description of the nucleus is based on the mean-field theory (MFT). The ground state of nucleus is described

โฆ Synopsis
We derive structure functions for the quasielastic production of octet baryons in ฮฝฯ n and ฮฝฯ p interactions and study the polarization of ฯ leptons produced in the โY = 0 reactions. Possible impact of the charged second-class currents is investigated by adopting a simple phenomenological parametrization for the nonstandard scalar and tensor nucleon form factors. Our choice of the unknown parameters is made to satisfy the limits obtained in the (anti)neutrino scattering experiments and rigid restrictions derived from the nuclear structure studies.

We discuss the two-photon exchange contribution to observables which involve lepton helicity flip in elastic lepton-nucleon scattering. This contribution is accessed through the single spin asymmetry for a lepton beam polarized normal to the scattering plane. We estimate this beam normal single spin
