I've read hundreds of books and I can guess how most of them will end, sometimes even where the plot will go. But I have to say I was unable to predict what's going to happen in TTT. R.N. Shapiro wrote a fantastic novel, I was simply drawn to the story, right from the start. There are so many twists and turns, you won't know what's going to happen and will do good guys win. I'm sure I will get back to this book in a year or two. It's what I usually do when I get my hands on a masterpiece and TTT IS a masterpiece.

TTT is a fictional thriller loosely based on a true story. "He who tames the telomere tames cell death." What will the USA do to defend its biological supremacy? What will others do to steal it? The intrigue of a "real life phenomena" woven within a fictional tale is exceptionally captivating. Amanda, was written brilliantly. Her coming of age story far surpasses the normal rites of passage into adulthood.

Annually the contest fields books by thousands of entrants on an international basis, from independent authors, small publishers, and publishing giants like Random House, HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster, and past contestants include J.A. Jance, James Rollins, and #1 best-selling author Daniel Silva, as well as celebrity authors like Jim Carrey (Bruce Almighty), Henry Winkler (Happy Days), and Eriq La Salle (E.R., Coming to America). The author of Taming the Telomeres researched "Taming" for nearly three years before completing the manuscript. Rick drew from his experiences as a trial attorney and as a Capitol Hill staff assistant before law school. Rick resided in the Washington, D.C. area during college and law school, and explored Middleburg, Virginia, Georgetown, and several of the geographical areas that appear in Taming the Telomeres.
He received his college degree from the University of Maryland, served as staff assistant to a U.S. Congressman, and graduated from George Mason University School of Law (with distinction). He practices law with Shapiro, Lewis, Appleton & Duffan law firm.
As an inventor, he has invented and designed a number of folding, compact consumer products, including folding wagons, baby jogging strollers and the like. In connection with inventing and designing, Rick has travelled to Europe, Japan, Taiwan and China. He licensed a folding wagon patent to Radio Flyer, and is currently designing folding baby stroller products with Big Max, a European sporting goods company, being introduced under the Nikimotion baby stroller line in Europe during 2015.
He currently resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
