✦ Synopsis

Recently, a new wide class of finite-dimensional algebras whose Auslander-Reiten quivers admit infinite families of faithful standard stable tubes, called generalized canonical algebras, has been introduced in [A. Skowroński, Colloq. Math. 90 (2001) 77-93]. We give a complete description of all tame generalized canonical algebras, and prove that all these algebras have tame derived categories of bounded complexes.
