β¦ Synopsis
The journey to America had not been an easy one for Tala Mercado. Pressured into marrying a wealthy attorney she didnβt love by her poverty-stricken family in Manila, Tala was a woman held down by the weight of responsibility. Now, at twenty-eight, she finally begins to wonder if there will ever be anything more for her.
Enter Kelsey Daniels.
When Tala sparks up a quick friendship with the attractive woman who jogs by her house twice daily, she knows sheβs treading on dangerous ground. Her attraction to Kelsey is something she cannot afford to entertain. But fate has a way of stepping in during times of uncertainty. Tala soon discovers that her husband has been unfaithful and a new world of opportunity opens up to her. But first she must go back to Manila.
Things have changed in Talaβs homeland. When Kelsey makes the rash decision to follow Tala to Manila, both women find themselves confronted with challenges that will not only put their lives at risk, but also the way they see themselves and each other.
