Solar advocates claim major net-metering victory in California-

Net metering of residential solar PV and wind installations, provides a considerable additional incentive for homeowners to generate their own supplies of renewable energy. California was a pioneer of the net metering concept in the mid 90s and has continued to set the pace in forward thinking policy to promote the increased uptake of renewables in the US. But as Peter Asmus reports in this article, making changes to existing net-metering legislation in the region is not necessarily an easy task when faced with objections from major utility companies in California.
