Ahatract-A stochastic approach a fatigue damage of carbon fiber composites (CFRP) is proposed. It is based on the constitutive equation for fatigue damage in continuum damage mechanics. By introducing the stochastic process to this equation, a stochastic differential equation of It6 type is derived.

This paper proposes a fully coupled multi-scale finite element model for the mechanical description of a new composite material inspired in wood cell-walls. The constitutive response of the composite is described by means of a representative volume element (RVE) in which the fibre is represented as
