โœฆ Synopsis

Molecular recognition is becoming increasingly important in both research and industry (e. g. water purification). This review focuses on molecular imprinting with cyclodextrins ร highly useful because of their hydrophilic exterior and hydrophobic cavity ร including the very effective strategy adopted by the authors (see Figure ): Several host species are assembled to form a tailormade guest complex with extremely exclusive selectivity.

## Abstract A tailorโ€made catalytically active polymer catalyzing the bimolecular Dielsโ€Alder reaction is described. Kinetic studies carried out in acetonitrile at 82ยฐC show a 270โ€fold rate acceleration (__k__~cat~/__k__~uncat~) for the Dielsโ€Alder reaction between tetrachlorothiophene dioxide and
