Catalyst recycling plant opened in ND

Catalysts from the petroleum refining industry which contain platinum group metals need to be pre-treated to reduce their bulk before the metals are extracted. Sabin Metal Corp has commissioned an indirectly-fired kiln for this in Williston, ND. The final processing is conducted at Sabin's plants in NY or ON.

Süd-Chemie plans GTL catalysts venture in Qatar

In Qatar, Süd-Chemie is planning a jv, regarding gas-to-liquids catalysts, with two unnamed local partners. Süd-Chemie will have majority control and will invest €10 M in the venture. Qatar has 0.4 M TO 0.5 m bbl/day GTL capacity.
