Brazilian bioethanol is sold in Germany for DKR 4.10/litre but Novozymes would need a price of at least DKR 5.95/litre in order to cover its raw materials costs. The German biofuels producer Verbio has experienced a huge fall in both production and turnover in 2007 despite sky high oil prices.
