Abstract

Dimethylolurea was found to copolymerize with a number of sulfonamides and sulfones (Ia–h) to yield oligomeric condensation products (IIa–h). The preparation and characterization studies relevant to these materials are described. Products IId, IIf, IIg, and IIh were active as antimalarial drugs.
