The synthesis and structural properties of Mg 1؊x Mn 2؉x O 4 , for 04x41 are described. Complete miscibility in the solid state exists for this system. For the material with the correct stoichiometry, i.e. MgMn 2 O 4 , the e4ect of temperature on the cation distribution was investigated: above 6003C
