## Abstract The synthesis, crystallographic analysis and spectroscopic study of a zinc(II) complex [Zn(bipy)(pmal)(H~2~O)]Β· 2H~2~O (bipy=2,2′‐bipyridine, pmal=phenylmalonic acid) were carried out. The complex has been investigated by the methods of X‐ray crystallography, elemental analysis and IR s
