✦ Synopsis

Twenty-one new compounds of the general structure (EtMe 2 SiCH 2 ) 3 SnSP(X)(OR 1 )(OR 2 ) (X‫ס‬O:R 1 ‫ס‬C 2 H 5 , R 2 -substituted phenyl; X‫ס‬S:R 1 ‫ס‬R 2 ‫ס‬hydrocarbyl) have been synthesized. Their structures were characterized by IR, 1 H, 119 Sn, and 31 PNMR spectroscopy and by MS and elemental analyses. 119 Sn NMR measurements of chemical shifts have shown that there is a good linear relationship of 119 Sn chemical shifts with Hammett para-substituent constants. The results of biological tests show that the compounds possess good acaricidal activity.
