โฆ Synopsis
Synthesis, stoichiometry and To of Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3010 (Bi-2223) superconductor with a variety of both Pb-free and Pb-doped compositions and with variable Ca/Sr-and Bi/(Ca+Sr)-ratios is reported. All the samples were prepared by a novel synthetic pathway involving two precursors, (Bi,Pb)2CuO4 and Sr2. xCaxCuO3. Phase-pure 2223 can be prepared from stoichiometric compositions without resorting to offstoichiometric compositions containing excess of Pb, Bi, Ca and Cu. To of 2223 phase is weakly dependent on composition and heat treatment conditions.
