✦ Synopsis

Herein we report the synthesis of b-sulfinyl nitroxides via nucleophilic addition of a-lithiated sulfoxides to N-tert-butyla-phenyl nitrone and subsequent copper II -catalyzed oxidation of the b-sulfinyl hydroxylamine intermediate.
