Abstract
Two novel tricyclic triazepinones structurally related to the reverse transcriptase inhibitor nevirapine were prepared from Nβ(2βnitrophenyl)β and Nβ(3βnitroβ2βpyridinyl)β1__H__βpyrrolβ1βamine. The synthetic sequence includes alkylation, reduction of the nitro group, triphosgene reaction followed by intramolecular cyclization. Activity of the two compounds against the HIVβ1 multiplication in acutely infected cells is also reported.
