✦ Synopsis

The present investigation deals with sequential block copolymerization of styrene and 1butene with a novel MgC1,-supported TiC14 catalyst modified with a rare earth compound NdCl,(OR), (SN-1 catalyst), which was developed in our laboratory. T h e catalytic activities are 1300-2500 g/g * Ti * h. Analyses of copolymers with solvent extraction, '"C-NMR, WAXD, GPC, and DSC was performed. T h e results indicate that the SN-1 catalyst selectively gave crystalline diblock copolymers of isotactic polystyrene and isotactic poly(1-butene), with the styrene unit content of 30-60 mol %.

## Abstract The copolymerization of butadiene (Bd) and isoprene (Ip) with a supported titanium‐triisobutyl aluminum catalyst system was studied. An analysis using differential scanning calorimetry, X‐ray diffraction, and ^13^C‐NMR spectra indicated that products with 25–60 mol % Bd units were rando

In this article, the synthesis and properties of the (ethylene-vinyl acetatevinyl alcohol) terpolymer are studied in detail. A transesterification reaction with alcohols was conducted on poly(ethylene-vinyl acetate) to obtain terpolymers with varying hydroxide contents through three different routes
