✦ Synopsis

Four new polymers have been synthesized by the polymerization of cis-dichlorobis (dimethylphenylphosphine) platinum (II) with 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol, 4,4'-thiodiphenol, 4,4'-sulphonyldiphenol and 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl in a two phase system of water and chloroform in the presence of dibenzo-24-crown-8. The polymers were characterized by i.r. and NMR spectroscopy. The thermal behaviour of these polymers is reported.
