Abstract

In analysing lossy three‐phase line overhead configurations it is commonly believed that the well‐known example of a perfectly transposed line is the only and single example of a balanced configuration. It is shown that this is a mistake. Conditions are established and a procedure is developed for synthesizing balanced un‐transposed line configurations. Concrete examples illustrating such configurations are presented.
