Abstract
The synthesis of three novel dimethyl (2‐(4,4‐dimethyl‐2,5‐dioxoimidazolidin‐1‐ylamino)‐ 2‐oxoethylamino)methylphosphonate, dimethyl (1‐ (4,4‐dimethyl‐2,5‐dioxoimidazolidin‐1‐ylamino)‐4‐ methyl‐1‐oxopentan‐2‐ylamino)methylphosphonate, and dimethyl (1‐(4,4‐dimethyl‐2,5‐dioxoimidazolidin‐ 1‐ylamino)‐1‐oxo‐3‐phenylpropan‐2‐ylamino)methylphosphonate, respectively, is reported. The newly synthesized compounds were prepared via the Kabachnik–Fields reaction. Their structures have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR (^1^H, ^13^C, and ^31^P) spectra. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
