✦ Synopsis

The fn'st synthesis of several types of optically active l,l,2-lrifluoro-1alkea-3-ols has been accomplished through the Pseudomonas cepacia F~ase-catalyzed trans-esterif~ation. The PCL catalyzed acylation using vinyl chloroacetate as the aeyl donor provided the corresponding fiuorinated-allyl alcohols that possess an m'omatic functional group with sufficient enantioseleetivity.
