## Abstract N,N′‐bis(2,4‐dinitrobenzofuroxan)‐1,3,5‐trinitro‐2,6‐diaminobenzene (V) has been synthesized from 1,3‐diaminobenzene and trinitrodichlorobenzene. The molecular structure of this compound has been determined by elemental analysis, IR, ^1^H‐NMR, and MS spectroscopies.

The title compound, C 20 H 14 F 4 N 4 O 2 , is centrosymmetric. The dihedral angle between the pyridine and benzene ring is 64.8 (4) . The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonding.
