Abstract
Synthesis of cobalt oxide (Co~3~O~4~) nanorods was achieved by templating against carbon nanotubes via wet chemical technique. The products with crystalline structure were mainly composed of Co~3~O~4~ nanorods with diameters in the range of ca. 75β100 nm and lengths in the range of 0.12β1 ΞΌm, and were characterized by XRD, TEM, SAED and HRTEM.

In this report, we describe a novel method for preparing amorphous carbon nanotubes (ACNT) from silver nanowires using a carbon replica technique. ACNT size and shape are determined by the template silver nanowire. Interspaces between carbon grains present in the ACNT wall cause the wall to act as a
