## Abstract ZnO nanostructures composed of nanosheets have been synthesized by a facile low temperature reaction of Zn(OH)~2~ and NaOH without the aid of any organic molecular templates. The influences of the reaction parameters, such as the concentrations of Zn(NO~3~)~2~, reaction temperatures, an
