## Abstract The cationic photopolymerization of epoxy polysilsesquioxane resins synthesized through a acid‐catalyzed sol/gel process is studied. To elucidate the effect of the organic substituent on sol/gel reaction kinetics, two organotrimethoxysilanes with different organic groups were employed.
