## Abstract The ring‐^14^C‐labelled __p__‐nonylphenol (NP) isomers 4(3′,5′‐dimethyl‐3′‐heptyl)‐phenol (__p__353NP), 4(3′,6′‐dimethyl‐3′‐heptyl)‐phenol (__p__363NP) and 4(2′,6′‐dimethyl‐2′‐heptyl)‐phenol (__p__262NP) were synthesized for application in metabolism and sorption studies. Friedel–Crafts
Three major DDD isomers, O,P'-DDD, m,p'-DDD and p,p'-DDD, 14C-labelled in the para-chlorophenyl ring, have been synthesized. The DDD products were obtained in isotopic yields ranging fran 42% to 58% and were of high specific activities; 31 mCi/mmol (0,~'-DDD; m,p'-DDD) and 19,8 mCi/mmol (p,p'-DDD).
A synthesis of dibucaine labeled with l"C in the heterocyclic ring is described. starting with isatin and acetic anh~dride-2-~"C as shown in Scheme I. Two deutero analogs, dibucaine-d2 and dibucaine-dg, were also synthesized by the reactions shown in Scheme 11. Dibucaine-dg was synthesized by conden
