✦ Synopsis
Unsymmetrically substituted binuclear phthalocyanine derivatives 8 and 9 have been synthesized by mixed condensation of nickel(II) dicyanophthalocyanine 6 with dioctyloxyphthalonitrile 7 in the presence of either nickel(II) or zinc(II) chloride. In addition, a heterotrinuclear phthalocyaninetriazolehemiporphyrazine-phthalocyanine complex 16 has been obtained using the methodology described earlier for the preparation of heterobinuclear phthalocyanine-triazolehemiporphyrazine systems (13a-13e). All these compounds exhibit in their UV-vis spectra broad and split Q bands that are shifted to the near-IR in comparison with mononuclear phthalocyanines as a consequence of the enlargement of the p conjugation.
