✦ Synopsis

Sulfides of six transition or post-transition metals have been prepared by decomposition of amorphous dithiooxamide complexes. The best procedure of pyrolysis corresponds to a heating at (680^{\circ} \mathrm{C}) under a dynamic vacuum during (4 \mathrm{hr}). This preparation, without any added sulfurizing atmosphere, leads to carbon-free sulfides. O 1994 Acndcmic Press, Inc.
