โฆ Synopsis
By using di-n-butyliodotin hydride (n-Bu 2 SnIH), carbocycles were prepared from substrates bearing both enone and formyl moieties, where the enone-selective reduction was followed by a diastereoselective intramolecular aldol reaction.
